About This Project
Summary
Project Your Home (PYH) is dedicated to rebuilding lives & communities due to Hurricane Helene’s devastating impact on Western North Carolina (WNC). Seven years prior to Helene, PYH’s founder partnered with multiple, like-minded non-profits to build synergy & teams to secure food, necessities, housing & community services across WNC. Together they have 25+ years of serving & caring for others. Next up, designing & building container homes solutions to build resilient, affordable communities.
Goals & Objectives
Now PYH is formally building a collaborative with 10 Partners to build new homes for those who have lost theirs to this natural disaster. Building container homes with 36 months of inclusive services will help make people whole again, support long-term recovery, & the Governor’s GROW NC initiative.
Results & Impact
PYH & Partners have served thousands of individuals & households across WNC. Helene support began with rescue & relief efforts & continues today providing necessities, homes, & care for the underserved in WNC. The PYH partnership is innovating & designing a model for regional disaster management.
