About This Project

Summary

Unsilenced Rooms was an immersive, survivor-led installation inside the first Ministerial Conference to End Violence Against Children. It recreated three rooms where children had been raped. Each space featured real objects—dentures, closets, beds—based on survivor testimony. QR codes triggered voiceovers guiding leaders through the trauma. The experience was installed the day before policymakers signed pledges. Survivors then presented nine demands for protection, healing, and justice.

Goals & Objectives

Make the invisible, visible and influence government leaders i the ministerial confernece, that normally see child sexual abuse in charts and reports, making them become witness of the true horror so they would include demands/proposals from survivors themselves in plans to end child violence.
