About This Project
Summary
We created a Christmas short film with ILAS, Made, and The Maestros to raise awareness among parents about child sexual abuse during the holiday season, when cases in Mexico rise by 40%. The Ugliest Sweater shows how joy can conceal vulnerability, reminding families that caring means being present, attentive, and protective.
Goals & Objectives
To shed light on the 40% increase of child sexual abuse during Christmas in Mexico, spark awareness among parents, and inspire a culture of vigilance and protection without fear, but with empathy and action.
Results & Impact
500,000+ moviegoers reached, screened in 30+ cinemas for 3 months, Bronze at Cannes Lions. Generated national debate, widespread media coverage, and empowered survivors and parents to speak up during a season often marked by silence.
