Summary
Safe Stays by ReloShare is a free, nationwide hotel booking platform built by and for social service providers. It removes systemic barriers to emergency housing by enabling alias reservations without IDs or credit cards at check-in. With 885 current agency partners, 20,000 hotel options, and over 250,000 hotel nights booked in 2024, Safe Stays provides survivors of violence, trafficking, disasters, and other crises with safe, immediate, and dignified shelter.
Goals & Objectives
To eliminate barriers survivors face when securing emergency housing, while reducing advocate burnout and administrative burdens. Safe Stays set out to create a scalable, survivor-centered solution that prioritizes safety, dignity, inclusivity, and sustainable access for vulnerable communities.
Results & Impact
In 2024, Safe Stays secured 250,000+ hotel nights through >700 agencies nationwide. Survivors fleeing violence, trafficking, disasters, and other crises accessed safe, barrier-free shelter while agencies saved time, costs, and reduced burnout, transforming community responses to shelter shortages.
