About This Project
Summary
Your Path To Success (YPTS) is our mentorship program that provides communication, leadership, and vocational skill building for young adults with disabilities. YPTS is our answer to helping disabled young adults find personal, financial, and career independence from their parents. By empowering these individuals, we believe that not only are we enhancing their quality of life; moreover, supporting job creation. Proof is shown through our 2021 graduate launching the first SKS podcast in 2025.
Goals & Objectives
Our goal is to place young adults with disabilities in jobs within one year of graduation. It also helps us build a pipeline of talent through which we can recruit our own staff. On the macro level, this program can lead to increases in disabled employment metrics and economic growth.
Results & Impact
Over the last three years, we have been able to hire our own participants (graduates of our Your Path To Success vocational program), which provides an even more compelling argument for this program. We are now in the process of launching a podcasting company employed solely and led by graduates.
