About This Project

Summary

This powerful video, created for Victim Services Durham's Annual Youth Violence Prevention Symposium, portrays the devastating cycle of bullying and its long-term emotional toll on youth. Told from two perspectives, the video tells the stories of both the victim and bully, with both experiences rooted in trauma. The video presents a raw and emotional look at how unaddressed pain, bullying, and isolation can perpetuate cycles of violence among youth.

Goals & Objectives

The video promotes awareness of the causes of bullying and presents as a warning and call to action on the need to intervene early, listen, employ empathy and offer support before its too late.

Results & Impact

The Video was used in the Annual Youth Violence Prevention Symposium, a virtual education event that reached over 23,000 youth and 750 educators across Ontario in 2025. The Symposium resulted in an increase in requests for support to Victim Services for youth under age of 16 by more than 24%
