About This Project
Summary
We identified a grassroots community of rock climbers in Jamaica that lacked access to equipment, education, representation, and facilities. In collaboration with climbing 4 change and adidas, we set out to achieve these goals and create a doc that celebrates Jamaican climbing culture.
Goals & Objectives
1. Establish a climbing gym at the National Olympic stadium that was free for all to use 2. Provide gear and education to community leaders to allow them to support their community 3. Demonstrate inclusivity and representation through the presence of professional athlete Kai Lightner
Results & Impact
We established the first ever climbing gym in the country and helped the community grow from 20 people, to over 200 that meet regular and have access to gear.
