The Ebony Canal is intended for a general public audience with the goal to enlist engagement and investment to reduce health disparities. The documentary seeks to do this by personalizing the stories of Black moms and babies and showcasing novel solutions that help identify risk and mitigate it.
Results & Impact
Narrated by Viola Davis, The Ebony Canal confronts Black infant and maternal mortality, exposing racial health disparities. Globally embraced, it fuels policy reform, empowers communities, and reframes Black motherhood as a legacy of strength. More than a film, it’s a movement.
