Hosted by allergist Payel Gupta, MD and patient advocate Kortney Kwong Hing, the Itch Podcast aims to advance health equity and transform understanding of allergic diseases. Together with Allergy & Asthma Network, they co-produce Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Innovations, a podcast series that amplifies expert voices and lived patient experiences. Through interviews, deep dives, and journal club formats, they highlight critical issues for people living with these chronic conditions.

Goals & Objectives

Many people living with allergies, asthma, and immune conditions face confusing, inaccessible information. The Itch Podcast and Allergy & Asthma Network offer this podcast series to pair patient and expert voices to simplify science, share lived experiences, and support informed care.

Results & Impact

Providers report greater clinical relevance and patients gain clearer understanding, bridging expert insights with lived experiences to improve care. In under two years, the partnership has produced 55 episodes with 95K listens, 455.9K YouTube views, and 110.8K VuMedi impressions.
