About This Project

Summary

As Jean Eddy boldly wrote in her 2023 book, Crisis-Proofing Today's Learners, there is an epidemic of young people leaving high school who are not prepared for what comes next. As President and CEO of American Student Assistance (ASA), Eddy set upon a mission to ensure that every student has equal access to free digital career readiness resources and experiences -- starting in middle school and continuing through high school.

Goals & Objectives

Eddy's main objective was to determine how to scale access to career learning beyond the classroom. ASA meets millions of kids where they are – on their mobile devices. Co-created with kids, ASA's tools help them find what they're good at/what they love, what they can be paid for, what world needs.

Results & Impact

Eddy’s mission to transform K-12 career education has engaged more 15 million kids. ASA has also invested in and awarded tens of millions to mission-aligned organizations, enabling young people to navigate a path to economic and career success, without or with a degree.
