About This Project

Summary

“Joy and Gratefulness: Congratulations ASU Grad Class of 2023” is a video produced by Arizona State University’s Academic Enterprise Communications multimedia team. The video features graduates and their families on graduation day talking about the milestone accomplishment, what their next step in life is, and how the college and graduation experience affects each of them. The emotions run the gamut: joy, pride, gratitude, relief, and a lot of happy tears. The team produces this video each year.

Goals & Objectives

The goal of this video is to connect prospective students to their future selves and inspire them to attend college and earn their degree. By seeing students who have graduated from college and their proud families, prospective students are shown that they too are capable of achieving the same goal.

Results & Impact

19,000+ students graduated from ASU in spring 2023. This video has 3,700+ views on YouTube in the past year. The most impact has been on the students and families in the video who say the video enabled them to say words they never would have said if not given the opportunity to do so in the video.
