Summary

UNLOCKED is a feature documentary that unearths deeply buried national conversations around the mass trauma of Covid-19 lockdowns. The film will examine how the pandemic’s stay-at-home restrictions led to unimaginable isolation that adversely impacted millions around the world. UNLOCKED will be told in a vérité style of filmmaking, reflecting on the pandemic’s isolating regulations. We want to unlock the personal stories of isolation, so that we can truly begin to understand what happened to us.

Goals & Objectives

Phase one was to raise awareness of the topic on UNLOCKED’s social media. We’ve already received PR to include an article in Katie Couric Media. Francesco and I were also interviewed on ABC7 LA about UNLOCKED. In phase two we hope to make a full feature documentary about the topic.

Results & Impact

The desired results are: 1) Raise awareness for post-Covid early cancer detection and mental health care. 2) Drive advocacy for breaking the silence. We can finally talk about our collective traumas to start the critical process of healing.
