About This Project
Summary
Mixtape to My Future is a youth-led podcast produced through our Afterschool Podcasting program with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley. Our strategy: empower teens to tell their own stories, gain media skills, and reflect authentically on life between childhood and adulthood.
Goals & Objectives
To teach teens storytelling and audio production skills, give them a platform to share their perspectives, and create a professional-quality podcast that reflects their voices, challenges, and aspirations.
Results & Impact
Students produced every episode—from scripting to recording. They gained confidence, technical skills, and a deeper connection to their peers. The podcast was shared by local media and praised by educators for its honesty, creativity, and youth empowerment.
