About This Project

Summary

Showcasing a diverse community of Yes, And…Laughter Lab creators, YALLfest spotlights the best comedy writers and performers who take on social justice issues while making us laugh. From pitches to table reads to stand-up, sketches, and more, YALLfest is the place to discover some of the most talented creators for three days of next-level comedy.

Goals & Objectives

YALLfest aims to disrupt old gatekeeper systems and build social capital for marginalized comedy creators by fostering and strengthening community networks, facilitating professional development training, and providing access to entertainment industry decision-makers and social justice leaders.

Results & Impact

YALLfest’s debut festival featured 70 comedians performing human-rights-themed hilarious comedy to hundreds of entertainment industry and social justice leaders, alongside the general public. This is the only such festival in the world, with its focus on diverse talent and social justice.
