About This Project

Summary

The AIDSVu Map and Location Profiles offer a detailed view of the HIV epidemic in the U.S., delivering accessible and accurate data to policymakers, researchers, and the public. We enhanced the tool’s performance, user experience, and data accessibility, focusing on improving clarity and storytelling. The result is a modern, user-friendly interface that encourages exploration.

Goals & Objectives

The project aimed to improve the user experience with a visually appealing and intuitive interface and enhance storytelling with compelling visuals, all to advance public health.

Results & Impact

The updated AIDSVu platform provides clear insights into HIV's impact in the U.S., helping change-makers identify underserved areas and uncover targeted insights on how HIV affects specific communities by race, gender, and other factors. It also tracks policy impact by monitoring trends over time.
