About This Project

Summary

On average, 17 U.S. veterans die by suicide each day. Addressing this crisis, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs named suicide prevention its “top clinical priority” and launched Mission Daybreak to inspire tech innovators to create solutions. Reflex AI responded with HomeTeam, an AI-driven training tool empowering Veterans to provide peer support.

Goals & Objectives

HomeTeam’s modules teach life-saving tactics, allowing users to practice in AI-powered chat simulations, preparing them for real-world conversations.

Results & Impact

HomeTeam, developed with mental health clinicians and insights from 600+ veterans, offers tailored modules and simulations for veterans. It creates a safe space to practice life-saving skills, training veterans as peer counselors for crisis lines and everyday support.
