About This Project
Summary
Women weren’t required in US clinical research until 1993, and to this day, we experience diagnosis delays, failed treatments, and medical gaslighting. That’s why Evvy published “100 Effed Facts About the Gender Health Gap,” a coffee table book of 100 shocking, science-backed disparities across all areas of health. Evvy donated all proceeds from the book to Women’s Health Access Matters (WHAM). Evvy also recruited a first-of-its-kind group of 46 leading women’s health to amplify the campaign.
Goals & Objectives
First, we wanted to raise awareness for the shocking gender disparities in healthcare, to remind women that their experiences with medical sexism are not, as is sometimes suggested, “all in their head.” Second, we wanted to raise money for Women’s Health Access Matters (WHAM).
Results & Impact
The book sold out in less than a week, and was posted about by leading celebs, founders, and doctors. 46 partners participated by sharing 12 IG Collabs. Between the book sales and a share-to-donate campaign on social, Evvy raised thousands of dollars directly for WHAM and women’s health research.
