About This Project

Summary

Expeditions in Education connects students and educators to national parks through year round programming. Crossing America brings free, live, park based learning into classrooms nationwide, while National Parks Expedition Challenges extend learning through student driven exploration. STEAM in the PARK immerses over 400 educators each summer alongside park rangers, creating a cycle of inspiration that engages students and transforms classroom practice.

Goals & Objectives

To expand equitable access to national park experiences for students and educators, provide free classroom resources, and empower teachers through immersive professional learning that transforms classroom practice and fosters stewardship.

Results & Impact

Crossing America and our National Parks Expedition Challenges reach over 1 million students each year through live and on demand learning, many experiencing a national park for the first time. STEAM in the PARK supports 400+ educators each summer, transforming classrooms and inspiring stewardship.
