About This Project
Summary
The lack of diversity in clinical trials is one of today’s biggest public health crises. Yet some believe that making clinical trials more inclusive is too expensive and complicated. The Trial for #ClinicalEquality is an initiative that champions diversity in clinical trials. Continuing that effort, we launched the “Worth Less” campaign to highlight that it costs society more if we don’t make clinical trials inclusive—in terms of healthcare spend, scientific data, public trust, and human lives.
Goals & Objectives
The goal was to show that the lack of diversity in clinical trials costs us all. We also aimed to make sure that this message reaches both the people whom this impacts the most (racial and ethnic minority groups) and the people who can effect change (doctors and clinical trial sponsors).
Results & Impact
Our efforts drove over 4.7M impressions with a combination of organic social media and over $95K in donated media. With various banner, OOH and social placements, we targeted endemic spaces like hospitals and research centers, as well as consumers including African American and Hispanic audiences.
