Summary
Here We Are is a ground-breaking campaign that combats unchecked misinformation about transgender people and supercharges transgender visibility, accelerates acceptance and affirms transgender people should have the freedom to live their lives without discrimination or prejudice.In a time when 71% of Americans claim they’ve never met someone who is transgender and when anti-transgender rhetoric continues to rise, it is crucial that we hear from transgender people about their lives.
Goals & Objectives
The goal of this campaign iss to introduce all Americans to the real stories of transgender people,centering the discussion of equality on joyful lived experiences and away from politics and punditry.We want to create support for transgender people to simply live their lives freely and without fear.
Results & Impact
9 videos and the campaign website were featured on NBC, CBS, iHeart Radio and by Paramount in TimesSquare and led to over 100 million impressions. Each was proven to measurably increase the belief that being transgender is real and the comfortability of accepting a family member as transgender.
