About This Project
Summary
There are over 7,000 languages worldwide, but only a few are well-represented online. Google Research is using AI to preserve languages across the globe and make information more accessible to everyone. To increase accessibility, Hook created a website highlighting this Language Inclusion program and its positive impact on communities everywhere. We led the development from initial research to launch, including UX/UI, copy, animation, creative, and art direction.
Goals & Objectives
Our goal was to drive attention to the language inclusion program. Google sent teams across the world to capture authentic stories from smaller and lesser-known languages, resulting in integration across Google products, allowing more people to read, watch, and hear content in their native tongue.
Results & Impact
This collaboration marked a first-of-its-kind externalization of Google's efforts in the language AI space. The site drove awareness to the broader program, garnering tens of thousands of views and visits, and continues to benefit lives around the world, one word at a time
