About This Project
Summary
Around the globe, governments are increasingly focused on launching central bank digital currencies, or CBDCs. The Human Rights Foundation's (HRF's) CBDC Tracker is here to track that activity and keep citizens informed about the potential threat of CBDCs. The interactive globe shows the status of each country’s CBDC efforts and explains what the risks of CBDCs would mean in the context of each country’s treatment of human rights and civil liberties.
Goals & Objectives
The goal of the project is to inform people about what the development of a CBDC might mean in the context of each country's treatment of human rights and civil liberties.
Results & Impact
Every day, more and more people are speaking out against the rise of CBDCs. The HRF CBDC Tracker provides them the tools to stay informed and continue to speak out.
