About This Project
Summary
Not Just Celsius is a co-created digital campaign mobilizing young Europeans to advocate for climate justice. The campaign focuses on social media, using videos, explainer posts, and influencer collaborations to engage and inform. Complementary offline actions like workshops and the Climate Justice Story Lab support these efforts. An interactive data tool, based on a traditional scale, ties this digital activism together by comparing nations' climate vulnerability and CO2 contributions.
Goals & Objectives
The goal is to empower young Europeans to engage in the legal process, ensuring their voices are heard by the International Court of Justice as it addresses state responsibilities in combating climate change.
Results & Impact
The social media campaign has reached over 4 million young Europeans, with 400,000 engagements and 80,000 petition signatures delivered to the EU Commission. Additionally, the project has been featured in more than 20 events, further amplifying youth voices in the global climate justice space.
