About This Project

Summary

Intercross is a podcast that offers a window into the work of the International Committee of the Red Cross and share the stories of those affected by conflict and other situations of violence. Our podcast is produced by the ICRC's delegation for the US and Canada region in Washington, D.C. and is hosted by ICRC’s Dominique Maria Bonessi. Intercross was started in 2017 by Niki Clark, and has grown to reach listeners around the world.

Goals & Objectives

The ultimate objective is to influence decisionmakers to take humanitarian action and raise awareness in the US and globally with people-centered stories and engagement moving toward action.

Results & Impact

Since 2022, listenership has doubled organically as we've extended our reach on platforms like Apple and Spotify. We have also partnered with Foreign Policy for production assistance and advertising, affected communities and delegations throughout our organization to bring these stories to air.
