About This Project
Summary
Youth sports can transform a child’s life, from increased self-esteem and better mental health to future physical health and academic and career success. But participation has been in decline across the US, especially in under-resourced communities. That’s why, since 2022, TeamSnap Impact (TSI) has invested at the grassroots level with local partners to tackle the biggest barriers to access — affordability & gender equality — and to bring the best coaching to those in need.
Goals & Objectives
To make sports more affordable and accessible, TSI works across three pillars: grassroots, partnerships and policy. We provide direct funding, technology grants and services to youth sports organizations across the US, and send TeamSnap volunteers to work and play with our partners.
Results & Impact
TSI has served 50,000+ kids, unlocked $450,000+ in policy funds and committed $1M+ in direct investment. In April, our CEO testified for HB 5493, to create a youth sports grant program in CT, and TSI brought trauma-informed coach education to Uvalde Little League, to help Uvalde use sport to heal.
