About This Project

Summary

LabXchange is a free, online education platform, created at Harvard University, that provides equitable and accessible learning opportunities in science. Racial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Science Education (RDEISE) expands on our current offerings by merging inclusive teaching strategies with interdisciplinary educational resources to address barriers to success in science and empower individuals to identify and reduce racial inequities in health care, education, and STEM.

Goals & Objectives

RDEISE educational resources aim to challenge the perception that science is independent of social issues, promotes inclusive and accessible science education, guides learners in applying critical thinking skills, and equips educators with what they need to address these topics in the classroom.

Results & Impact

To date, LabXchange has published 88 resources, authored by 22 graduate scholars from HBCUs and other institutions under the leadership of an interdisciplinary faculty steering committee. These have been remixed by LabXchange users into over 110 custom learning sequences, called pathways.
