Morris Street Media LLC / Kristen V. Carter Entertainment LLC PROJECT
About This Project
Summary
GOSPEL Live! Presented by Henry Louis Gates, Jr. is a one-of-a-kind musical celebration special that honors the legacy and influence of Gospel music in America. The live-to-tape event features performances by Gospel and R&B greats including John Legend, Erica Campbell and Anthony Hamilton, as they perform songs that have inspired their lives. This live-to-tape event is a companion piece to the four-part documentary series GOSPEL, hosted by Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Both projects air on PBS.
Goals & Objectives
As the EP/Showrunner of GOSPEL Live!, I was inspired to raise awareness and personally support our publicity efforts by creating a 4-city regional church tour that included a screening, performance by a notable Gospel artist and Q&A talkback that featured members of our production team.
Results & Impact
As a result of the church tour, my production company increased press for the show. With my publicist, Morris Street Media, we personally secured GMA3, ABC News Live and a host of radio and digital interviews that attracted 18 million additional impressions in support of the show's overall campaign.
