About This Project
Summary
The evolution of activism with players of color in the NFL has been a remarkable journey that reflects the broader change in society and the sports world. Over the years, players have transitioned from a time of limited opportunities for activism to a more outspoken and influential stance on social and racial issues. In this documentary, we will shed light in an authentic way on the realities of being a Black athlete in America, then and now.
Goals & Objectives
The goal of this project is to illustrate prominent people using their platforms to advocate for a more equitable society. It’s also to serve as a guide for younger generations on how they can find their voice and use it for good as societal shifts are making it harder to push for progress.
Results & Impact
Thousands of impressions across all NFL platforms. There were two screeners for the documentary - NFL Social Justice Roundtable during Super Bowl week at UNLV in Las Vegas and one at NFL media's headquarters in Inglewood, CA.
