About This Project

Summary

Building on extensive research and deep engagement with a broad array of community-centered organizations, The Place-Based Impact Collaborative, led by NationSwell, launched the Place-Based Impact Hub. The interactive website helps funders bridge the gap between theory and reality and inspires more changemakers to put place-based strategies into practice. The site includes a guide for place-based funders, a place-based assessment, case studies, and additional resources.

Goals & Objectives

As geographic inequality has widened over the past four decades, the income gap between richer and poorer areas has grown alongside it. The Place-Based Impact Hub aims to empower funders and other changemakers with the knowledge and tools needed to address this urgent challenge and meet the moment.

Results & Impact

The hub has become a key resource for those currently investing in place-based impact and those looking to join the movement. The website has over 5,000 visits and generated 30,000 social impressions. It has also acted as a catalyst for the launch of an additional year of the Place-Based Collab.
