About This Project

Summary

The Portal by New Visions is a student planning and school improvement tool that aligns robust data and actionable planning to strengthen schools and their processes. It creates data transparency across classrooms, schools, districts, and service providers to ensure students are best supported. The Portal consolidates student data; simplifies processes to minimize missed opportunities; highlight students who need attention; prompts staff to take action; and monitors progress across schools.

Goals & Objectives

The Portal fills a critical need across schools, child-focused agencies, and community organizations with tools and shared data that enable them to improve student outcomes. Our mission is to prepare all students, equitably, for success from kindergarten through college and beyond.

Results & Impact

The Portal is available to all K-12 public schools in New York City, representing approximately 1 million children and youth. 94% of schools used the Portal during the most recent school year (SY23-24), with over 100,000 average student profile views per month.
