Summary

Paramount Pictures has supported community students since 2008 with a focus on mentoring through storytelling. Our programs are especially impactful when we can leverage some of our audiences’ favorite characters and stories to reinforce learning and exploration. Paramount Pictures teamed up with Code.org to offer a Transformers One-themed block-based coding environment designed for beginners to teach the basics of computer science by building fun, interactive projects.

Goals & Objectives

Paramount Pictures and Code.org launched a new collaboration to boost student engagement with K-12 computer science, featuring A TRANSFORMERS-themed coding activity platform. The lessons allowed students to build fun, interactive projects that also exposed them to 21st century careers skills.

Results & Impact

The Transformers One coding activity received close to one million views and hosted153,700 users within the first two weeks of the campaign. More than half a million students used the tutorials, and collectively they viewed almost 4.5 million pages of coding and stem-related content.
