About This Project

Summary

Our All About Virginity & Your First Time series deconstructs the made-up, patriarchal concept of "virginity," and demystifies the experience of first-time sex. The sex education series (in English & Spanish) offers guidance on how to know if you’re ready to have sex, as well as what to expect. Hosted by engaging influencers and sex educators Dr. Uchenna “UC” Ossai and Larissa Págan, the series breaks down the importance of consent, open communication, and safer sex practices.

Goals & Objectives

Our goal was to provide shame-free information to youth, because they often experience judgments about their sexual health or identities. We used humor to help them learn to take control of their bodies and decisions about sexual and reproductive health by normalizing experiences and busting myths.

Results & Impact

This series challenges young people to rethink first-time sex. It connected with young people in a fun, informative way, using trusted messengers. Over 125k people viewed the series and 1.7M visited the webpage in English and Spanish, successfully educating our audience on this highly searched topic
