About This Project
Summary
Foo Fighters took a rare detour from stadium, arena and amphitheater stages to perform at a private, one-night-only concert in Washington, D.C. for Members of Congress, Capitol Hill staffers, and White House leadership and hosted by Power to the Patients, a non-profit fighting for a more affordable, accessible, and equitable healthcare system through true price transparency. Hip hop legends Fat Joe and Chuck D as well as Country singer Valerie June also spoke on the issue from the stage.
Goals & Objectives
Foo Fighters joined the movement to raise awareness about the inequality and uncertainty created for patients, workers, employers, and even the government when hospitals and insurers hide actual upfront prices and advocated for stronger legislation toward real prices and transparency in healthcare.
Results & Impact
Over 50 Members of Congress were in attendance for the three hour event and massive press outlets, including Rolling Stone, Variety, The Hill, TMZ, Billboard, CNN, and more amplified messaging around the event and the desperate need for transparency in healthcare.
