About This Project

Summary

In today's divisive social climate, it's more important than ever to showcase stories modeling change. Our pilot episode of the new series I Changed My Mind features Janna, a formerly transphobic mom who changed her mind about accepting her trans son after he attempted suicide. Now Janna's on a mission to educate, heal and guide other parents of trans youth so they can love their children fully. Episodes will be released on our Brief But Spectacular YouTube channel and social media platforms.

Goals & Objectives

I Changed My Mind is a series created by Brooke Sebold and produced by the team behind Brief But Spectacular that aims to normalize what the changing mind looks like through conversations with guests who have changed their minds about significant topics leading to a paradigm shift in their lives.

Results & Impact

We released the pilot on YouTube with clips on social media, and amassed 340k+ views on TikTok and 200k+ on Instagram. We are partnering with PFLAG to build a curriculum around the episode which will be used by PFLAG chapters nationally to guide parents struggling to accept their trans kids.
