About This Project
Summary
The Watch Play Learn Distribution Hub is a web application that showcases a set of 140 animated segments that promote early childhood development outcomes for children in crisis settings. It allows government agencies, aid organizations, and NGOs to preview and request videos, which are available in 26 languages and cover curriculum areas, such as math, science, social emotional learning, and child protection. It uses automation and system integrations to reduce processing and delivery time.
Goals & Objectives
This content must be distributed rapidly in crisis situations to partners that need to seamlessly review and request content and may not have broadcast media processing capabilities. The Hub was developed to provide a user-friendly platform to overcome the significant challenges of distribution.
Results & Impact
Over 30 aid and government organizations have been onboarded to the Distribution Hub and the number of organizations will expand to over 100 by the end of the year. The library of animated videos has currently reached 31 million children in 24 countries in the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa.
