About This Project

Summary

One Step Beyond celebrated its 20th year in October 2023, marking a journey of impact and growth. Founded in 2002 by Mimi and Joe Rogers, inspired by their daughter Dylan, who has Down syndrome and was about to exit high school and enter into adulthood. Disappointed by the lack of programs for people with Intellectual Disabilities (ID), they envisioned more. Unlike her peers without ID, Dylan's future seemed limited. Determined to provide better opportunities, One Step Beyond was born.

The video project aimed to inform the public about One Step Beyond's impactful journey over 20 years, highlighting its mission to empower individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.

Results & Impact

This outreach contributed significantly to the organization's success, helping to secure $200,000 in funds during its annual Gala. These achievements underscore the video's role in fostering community support and financial backing crucial for advancing the organization's mission and programs.
