Journey to STEM

About This Project

Summary

Astrophysicist and TED Fellow Erika Hamden aims to support other women to pursue and persevere in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). In "Journey to STEM," she shares a refreshing perspective and useful tips to keep women at the forefront of these industries. In her uniquely authentic and spirited way, Erika urges STEM-loving women (and, really, all of us) to follow our passions and pursue careers in what we love.

Goals & Objectives

TED and the U.S. Air Force partnered to inspire women and girls to explore potential careers in STEM through a multi-platform approach that spanned digital content, a private dinner and film premiere event at the TEDWomen 2023 conference.

Results & Impact

As one YouTube comment reads: “I saw this as a commercial and was in awe. I frantically looked for it and am SO happy I found this message! Every girl and woman, regardless of age, regardless if in STEM or not, must see this! ”
