About This Project

Summary

Conceived by Anadil Hossain while at UNHCR, in partnership with iconic photographer Platon, this multi-media project was designed to create a collective portrait of human fragility and fortitude through the faces and voices of those forced to flee. Through a series of interviews with refugees, we show that no matter from where, why and how people may be forced to flee their homes – the human spirit shares a universal truth – the desire to be free, to be safe, to be respected, and to belong.

Goals & Objectives

A multimedia project designed to produce curated storytelling and evergreen content including film and photography, to allow creative and flexible application tailored to the needs and priorities across the organization as tools for fundraising, global forums, visibility, and advocacy.

Results & Impact

The film was launched at Davos 2023, Festival screenings; Cannes, Venice, Humans Rights den Hague, corporate events and fundraisers. The film continues to be used by UNHCR corporate partners for advocacy and awareness and will be released in partnership with impact distribution platforms
