About This Project

Summary

In 2023, UNICEF USA and partners, released the first-of-its-kind Child Lens Investment Framework (CLIF), an investment lens that helps asset owners and managers directs capital toward improving outcomes for children. Tapping into the $12 trillion private capital market through Child-lens Investing will help solve many of the issues children face, such as access to education, clean water, and nutrition while minimizing child harm.

Goals & Objectives

Imagine a world with no child poverty, equitable education access, nutritious and accessible food for every child. A world where every child survives and thrives and can reach their full potential. Child-lens investing, adopted at scale, has the potential to help create this level of impact.

Results & Impact

Every dollar invested in children generates outsized returns for wider society. We’ve already seen the impact and potential of this: Increasing preschool enrollment for children in lower- and middle-income countries to 50% can result in $14-34 billion in lifetime earnings gains.
