Investing in alignment with our mission

About This Project

Summary

In 2019, the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund made a pledge to align 100% of their endowment assets to their mission to achieve equity in education by working with those affected and inspiring all to end racism and poverty. As part of this effort, we are working to raise awareness about the importance of investing in under-resourced and underrepresented groups by setting powerful examples through media and internal policy.

Goals & Objectives

1. Our goal was to allocate investment capital toward organizations that are working towards our mission. 2. Our goal was to use our work and policies as an example to the philanthropic community.

Results & Impact

Eighty percent (80%) of our portfolio is invested in diverse managers, up from twenty-one percent (21%) in 2019. Ten percent of our portfolio is invested in local diverse-led organizations, up from zero percent (0%) in 2019.
